This truly sweet couple and soul mates married on the magnificent mountain top in Aspen at The Little Nell. This day for Ginger & Ernest was not only beautiful but so spiritual. Joy echoed over the mountains as the sun set. Family and friends were abundant and the dancing was unstoppable. We have a very special place in our heart for this family, as we photographed her younger sister’s wedding, Marci & Tommy, two years ago at Rough Creek Lodge and her cousin’s wedding last year at Lost Pines in Austin. The family is full of life, love and god. So many more amazing photographs to share… Stay tuned, they’re worth the wait! XOXO!!!

San Francisco Kisses

They fell in love in San Francisco so where else for their engagements? It was a whirlwind of a city tour with portraits everywhere and Jordan came for all the fun! We hit up all their favorite spots! Then the sun began to set and we made it to the beach in time for sunset over the golden gate bridge. Thank you for your gracious hosting, touring and dinner – so many more to share!

Sunshine & Grant are getting hitched this Fall at the Nasher designed by the stylish JORDAN PAYNE.

Beautiful Blanco

Jenna & James are adorable and love the outdoors. They live in Austin and met us for their engagements at his grandmother’s ranch in Blanco, Texas. We drove by the winding river with all the birds flying overhead and not a single car but us on this road. We arrived with James smiling – is it time for my “bridals!?” We all laughed! & had a great time!!! The most talented DFW Events will be designing their wedding in East Texas this spring and we can hardly wait!

Casa Bella

Couples in love have lovely weddings no matter where the location or the details but for Torri and Andy they had both in the American Riviera also known as Santa Barbara, California. After dressing at The Biltmore Four Seasons they said I Do at The Queen of the Missions, Old Mission Santa Barbara, founded in 1786. They rode vintage trolly’s to the bluff top Villa Casa Bella for an alfresco reception! After sunset one of my favorite wedding bands The Spazmatics began and the dancing never ended! Everyone laughed, danced, took in the views and celebrated Torri and Andy! They are remarkable people as I first learned last spring for their engagements in SB. We were recommended by a former bride and groom and their good friends Nicole & Blake – I was thrilled to see them again this time expecting their first wee little one! Oh the joy of seeing love and families grow inspires me every time! Cheers to many many more!!! Congratulations Torri & Andy! It was our honor to be there!!! XOXO!!! Thisbe Grace

Laredo Romance { 1 }

So many of you know the last few months have been non stop shooting and the past two weeks has been that times three. We’ve had so many gorgeous weddings yet to be shared and portraits that I can’t stop dreaming of! And as I read great magazines, I’m going to start backwards with Ginger & Ernest in Laredo, TX. This shoot was like playing with friends – as we had photographed Ginger’s youngest sister and cousin’s wedding only in the last year. They live in Laredo so it was an easy plan to do their engagement portraits there! We started out shooting at The Tack Room (will share soon) – a historic building in old downtown and once Ernest’s grandparents home. You know I’m a sucker for nostalgic details like this!!! Then we drove out to Ernest’s family ranch… Ginger brought out her gorgeous Silk Chiffon Sophia skirt from J.CREW – love love – to romp around in the wild grasses as the sun set and the moon hung high. They danced, they ran, they kissed. So dreamy… The stars came out and we headed out for Mexican! And I’ve still have a hankering for it! I loved it all! The whole enchilada! Such an honor and such a treat! Can’t wait to share more… PS: I have to thank Saci for her wonderful assistance during the shoot. She’s Ginger’s older but younger sister. I adore her energy – it’s contagious! XOXO!!!

California Coast

Here at Rincon, on the coast of California and world renowned for surfing, we stopped to meet up with the Abbotts for a sunset picnic. This was our last night in Carpinteria and it couldn’t have been a better bon voyage. Just before one of those amazing sunsets that stick in your mind for decades we took their family portrait – can we say hello gorgeous light! I’ve taken many portraits of Whitney as she’s a dear friend and I adore watching her family grow. Her parents were so kind to host us at their avocado ranch while we romped around and shot a gorgeous wedding in Santa Barbara that week. So when they invited us to meet them and the whole family showed up – we thought this is priceless! All artists and farmers – you can’t help but to love them. So much more to share! In the meantime – we continue to send love and gratitude their way as it’s one of those slices in life you hold in your pocket and smile about every day!
