About Thisbe Grace

Pure. Dynamic. Spontaneous. Fresh. When it comes to capturing your most memorable moments, Thisbe Grace Photography pairs sophisticated style with the camera savvy of husband-and-wife team Thisbe Grace and Mark McWilliams. Happily married for over a decade, their passion for photography began well before they even tied the knot.

An artist and mother, Thisbe is inspired by fashion, family and the romance that lies within those two worlds. She has documented hundreds of cherished weddings and private events across the U.S., Europe and Latin America. From influential business leaders and fashion gurus to creative artists and musicians, Thisbe’s client base is as diverse as the artful photographs she creates. She has an unobtrusive approach to documenting weddings—capturing timeless candids and classic portraits, not-to-miss details, as well conveying the ambiance of the event through her lens.

For Thisbe, taking phenomenal images is a family legacy. From her family’s collection of pictures dating back to the Civil War to her father being an avid nature photographer and illustrator, photography has always been a major thread in Thisbe’s life. Her sensitivity toward people’s emotions combined with her skills as a photographer make her work meaningful, as it is stunning. More than that, a day on the job is just as fun as her days off since her second shooter—her partner-in-crime—also happens to be her partner-in-life.

Equally talented with a camera is Brooks Institute of Photography graduate Mark McWilliams. His sharp eye and keen attention to detail comes from his experience with Industrial Scientific and Advertising Photography. Shooting for over 15 years, Mark has pointed his lens toward sites and scenes from all over the world, including places like Peru, France, Germany, Costa Rica, Belize and Japan.

Thrilled to be working side-by-side, the fun-loving duo looks forward to each event they’re invited to cover. Moved by the energy each couple has, Thisbe and Mark are inspired by their clients’ own unique taste and personality, and strive to make those distinctions shine though with each image. Their work has appeared in The Knot, D Magazine and Dallas Brides. They currently reside in Dallas with their adorable year-old son, Oceano (who has certainly given his proud parents countless cherished photo opportunities).

    Thisbe,

Just wanted to let you know how proud I am of you. I know Mom would be. You are such a talent. I would love for you to take my kids pics someday. The other day I ran across my wedding pics from back in the day(1989) and you were in my wedding. Wow. Look what you are doing now.

    Have a great day.

    L,

    Stacy

Thisbe! Thanks for letting me know about your new web site and the blog. The site looks great. I’m not really a blog type, but hey, it’s the 21st century and a girl photographer has to do what a girl photographer has to do! :-) Let us know if you’re going to be back in SB any time soon. Would love to see you. Say hi to Mark. Deb
