An Italian Inspiration at Union Station
My dear friend visited Italy over Thanksgiving with the chef she works with and what they brought back was an inspiration to us all. Wendy is banquet and catering manager and Reagan is a chef with Wolfgang Puck at Union Station in downtown Dallas. They hosted an exquisite tuscan luncheon for the planners of Dallas in the kitchen of this 50 year old train station. You have to see their forever high romantic ceilings with chandeliers and original details just everywhere. Can you imagine weddings in there? Ah, I do love this building.
Back to food: We not only dined on special green olive oil they brought back from the farm at which they stayed at but also homemade sausage, rustic cheese, pasta and truffles, spicy chocolate ice cream, olive oil cake (there’s to much to list) and of course we drank Chianti. Decor was provided by Branching Out, LITE Dallas, Posh Couture Rentals and Paper and Chocolate. And did I mention the entire affaire was set inside their working kitchen? Next thing you’ll know they’ll be entertaining rehearsal dinners in there! Too cool! Grazie Mille Loves!TG
